Hi, this is an illustration inspired from the logo of the Brights movement : http://www.the-brights.net

The female symbolises the birth of a new era.
The blue character symbolises the "non racial" quality of the brights.
The stick has the shape of a double helix symbol of the DNA and evolution
The light from the stick represents knowledge (and science) enlightening the world
The lights on the planet earth represents the brights themselves all around the world
The sheet represents care for the blue planet

Comments are very welcome

Gun Girl 2 - 2d Animation Technique

Hi everyone,
this is an animated illustration of my character Gun Girl.
I have pushed a bit further my animation technique since the first GunGirl (a year ago)
The character is 2D and the animation contains 6 key frames.
I created the inbetween images with Lightwave.
The aircraft is 3D,
but the road is made in After Effects.
The background is just a still.
I wanted to explore further how I can use 3D to help me animate 2D characters.
I wanted to share it with you and welcome your reactions and comments.
I have also made a little animation that shows the different stages of the process.
Also a close up of the scene so that you can see better the details of the drawings.
I hope one day I will get to use this technique and my style on a real job, it would help me push my experimentations even futher.
let me know what you think !
